The Czech republic is a land locked country in east central Europe. The climate is temperate; cool summers; cold, cloudy, humid winters. The terrain is mixture of hills and mountains separated by plains and basins. Natural resources are coal, timber, lignite, uranium, magnesite, iron ore, copper, zinc. The religion is 50% Roman Catholic, 20% Protestant, 2% Orthodox, 28% other. The language is Czech and Hungarian.
