Dacia was a region of ancient Europe, north of the Danube occupied by the Daci Getae, and then later a Roman province. It was conquered by the emperor Trajan in 101 AD, but in 274 AD, in the reign of Aurelian, had to be abandoned by the Roman colonists. Research Dacia
