EAST TIMOR

East Timor (Timor Loro-sae) is a country on the island of Timor in the Malay Archipelago. It was formerly a Portuguese colony until 1975, when the Portugese left and the Revolutionary Front of East Timor occupied the capital and proclaimed East Timor's independence. In reponse, Indonesia invaded East Timor and declared it a province.
