GAZA STRIP

The Gaza Strip is an area of Israel. It has a total area of 380 km2. The climate is temperate, mild winters, dry and warm to hot summers. The terrain is flat to rolling, sand and dune covered coastal plain. Natural resources are negligible. The religion is 99% Muslim (predominantly Sunni), 0.7% Christian, 0.3% Jewish. The language is Arabic, Israeli settlers speak Hebrew, English widely understood.
