Hadley (recorded in the Domesday Book as Hatlege) is a hamlet in Shropshire, England.
Hadley is a town in Hampshire County, Massachusetts, USA. Hadley was first settled in 1659 and in 1664 became the refuge of two English regicides, Goffe and Whalley. During King Philip's War, Hadley was attacked by Indians, who were repulsed by the townspeople led by Colonel Goffe who emerged from hiding to fight the invasion.
