KENDAL

Kendal (recorded in the Domesday Book as Cherchebi and later known as Kendale in 1452) is a town and former village in Cumbria, England. Kendal was once an important woollen textile centre, the industry having been founded by John Kemp, a Flemish weaver, in 1331.
