LEEDS

Leeds (recorded in the Domesday Book as Ledes) is a formerly industrial city in West Yorkshire, England. The city was originally the locality of the Celtic Ladenses tribe. It stands on the River Aire. Formerly a dismal, grey industrial city, during the 1990s Leeds attempted to reinvent itself as a cosmpolitan, commercial centre with lively social amenities.
