MONTANA

Montana is a state in west USA. It was formed out of Idaho and was admitted as a State on November the 8th, 1889. Montana was organized as a territory in 1864. It formed a part of the Louisiana cession. In 1890 and 1891 a deadlock in the Legislature was caused by a disputed election in Silver Bow County. The population in 1890 was a mere 132,159.
