MOROCCO

The Kingdom of Morocco is a country in north west Africa. It has a total area of 446,550 km2. The climate is Mediterranean, becoming more extreme in the interior. The terrain is mostly mountains with rich coastal plains. Natural resources are phosphates, iron ore, manganese, lead, zinc, fish, salt The religion is 98.7% Muslim, 1.1% Christian, 0.2% Jewish. The language is official language is Arabic with several Berber dialects and French spoken.
Morocco was originally inhabited by Berber peoples, until it was invaded by Arabs during the 7th century. In 1912 Morocco was divided into French and Spanish protectorates before becoming independent in 1956 following a bloody uprising against the European occupiers.
Morocco is a town in Newton County, Indiana, USA.
