The Probert Encyclopaedia of Places of the World

NAAS

Naas is the county town of Kildare in the Republic of Ireland, on the road from Dublin to Cork. It was the seat of the kings of Leinster whose royal palace lay on the North Mote. There are racecourses at Naas and at nearby Punchestown.
