SEOUL

Seoul is the capital of South Korea. It is situated in the west on the Han River, and was the capital of Korea from 1392 to 1910, then the seat of the Japanese administration until 1945, and then became the capital of South Korea in 1948. It is a cultural centre, with four universities.
