SWEDEN

The Kingdom of Sweden is a country in north Europe. It has a total area of 449,960 km2. The climate is temperate in the south with cold, cloudy winters and cool, partly cloudy summers; sub-arctic in the north. The terrain is mostly flat or gently rolling lowlands with mountains in the west. Natural resources are zinc, iron ore, lead, copper, silver, timber, uranium and a hydropower potential. The religion is 93.5% Evangelical Lutheran, 1.0% Roman Catholic, 5.5% other. The language is Swedish with small Lapp- and Finnish-speaking minorities and immigrants speaking native languages.
