The Turks and Caicos Islands are a group of islands in the Caribbean. They have a total area of 430 km2. The climate is tropical; marine; moderated by trade winds; sunny and relatively dry. The terrain is low, flat limestone; extensive marshes and mangrove swamps. Natural resources are spiny lobster and conch.
