VIENNA

Vienna (Wien) is the capital of Austria. Vienna is situated on the River Danube. It was an important military centre known as Vindobona under the Romans, and from 1278 to 1918 the seat of the Hapsburgs. Vienna has long been a centre of the arts and especially music, Mozart and Beethoven being among the great composers associated with it.
