WESTERN SAMOA

Western Samoa is a country in the Pacific Ocean It has a total area of 2,860 km2. The climate is tropical; rainy season (October to March), dry season (May to October). The terrain is narrow coastal plain with volcanic, rocky, rugged mountains in interior. Natural resources are hardwood forests, fish. The religion is 99.7% Christian (about half of population associated with the London Missionary Society; includes Congregational, Roman Catholic, Methodist, Latter Day Saints, Seventh- Day Adventist). The language is Samoan (Polynesian), English.
