ZARAGOZA

Zaragoza is the Spanish name for Saragossa. It was established as a Roman colony in 25B.C. and was under Moorish rule from 714 to 1118. It was the capital of Aragon from the 12th to the 15th centuries and was twice besieged by the French during the Peninsular War and was captured in 1809.
