Female was the name of one of the first British tanks. They were fitted with six machine-guns for use in anti-infantry roles.

The Daimler Ferret is a British armoured car first built in 1949, production finishing in 1971. Various models were produced, all manned by a crew of two. The early model Mk I was armed with a machine-gun mounted on its open top. By the Mk V the vehicle was fitted with a turret and could carry the Swingfire anti-tank missile. The Flakpanzer 38(t) (SdKfz 140) was a German self-propelled anti-aircraft gun of the Second World War produced at then end of 1943 and beginning of 1944. The Flakpanzer 38(t) comprised a Czech LT-38 tank chassis mounted with a 2 cm FlaK38 L/112.5 gun. The Flakpanzer 38(t) was manned by a crew of four and had a top speed of 42 kmh and a range of 210 km.

The FT-17 was a French tank produced by Renault and first developed in 1917. 3500 FT-17 tanks were made, and it remained in service until 1940. It was the first true tank, with a rotating turret over a central fighting compartment. It was armed with a 37 mm gun and a coaxial machine-gun. It was thickly armoured, with 22 mm of armour at its thickest point and could travel at 5 mph and had a range of 35 km.

First introduced in 1962 the FV 430 series of vehicles developed to fulfil fourteen roles in the British army including Command Post APC, ambulance, minelayer, recovery and repair vehicle, mortar, radar or troop carrier. It is manned by a crew of two and can carry up to 10 men and may be armed with a 7.62 mm machine-gun or turret mounted L37 machine-gun. The FV 430 has a top speed of 32 mph and a range of 580 km.

The FV 432 was a range of British tracked armoured personnel carriers developed as a replacement for the FV 430 in the late 1950's and was produced from 1963 until 1971. The FV 432 carried a crew of two plus ten passengers. It was powered by a Rolls-Royce K60 No 4 Mk 4F 6-cylinder multi-fuel engine providing a top road speed of 52 kmh and a range of 580 km. The FV 432 could ford 106 cm of water and cross a trench 205 cm wide. It was variously armed, the APC being fitted with a 7.62 mm machine-gun, an ATGW version - the FV 438 - being fitted with two launcher boxes for the BAC Swingfire ATGW in addition to the machine-gun. Another version was fitted with the Wombat recoilless rifle.
