OBREGON

The Obregon is a Mexican short-recoil, semi-automatic pistol resembling the Colt M1911 but with a locking system based upon the Steyr Model 12. The Obregon is chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge which it takes from a 7-round box magazine. It has a 127 mm long barrel, blade foresight and a notch rearsight. Effective to 50 metres, the Obregon has a muzzle velocity of 253 metres per second and a rate of fire of 32 rounds per minute and was issued to Mexican second-line troops.
