The Tanfoglio TA90 is an Italian double-action Browning-type short-recoil semi-automatic pistol originally produced as a copy of the CZ75 made under license, but modified over the years. The TA90 is produced in 9 mm Parabellum calibre as standard with a 15-round magazine. Several variants are also produced including the TA18 with an 18-round magazine, the GT21 with a 21-round magazine and the GT30 in 7.65 mm Parabellum calibre.

The Type 64 Pistol was chambered for the 7.65 mm .32 ACP cartridge which it took from a 7-round box magazine, had a 102 mm long barrel and was fitted with a blade foresight and a notch rearsight. The Type 64 Pistol had an effective range of 30 metres and a muzzle velocity of 290 metres per second. A silenced version with a shortened slide and threaded barrel was also produced.
