The Jackhammer is a 12-gauge gas operated combat shotgun firing commercial 12-ga 70 mm cartridges from a 10-round revolving cylinder (an 'Ammo Cassette'), at a rate of fire of 240 rounds-per-minute. Designed for the American military in the early 1980s, the weapon was never adopted due to budget cuts in the American Military.
