TOKAREV SVT-40

The Tokarev SVT-40 was a Russian gas-operated semi-automatic military rifle introduced in 1940 and produced until 1944. The Tokarev SVT-40 was chambered for the 7.62 x 54R cartridge which it took from a 10-round box magazine and fired with a muzzle velocity of 830 meters-per-second. The Tokarev SVT-40 had a 625 mm barrel and first saw action in the 1940 war against Finland.

TRG

The Sako TRG is a Finnish specialised sniping and competition target shooting rifle designed in 1992. The receiver is of forged steel and the heavy barrel is also cold-forged and fitted with a combined flash hider and muzzle brake. The action and barrel are mounted to an aluminium skeleton frame, to which is attached the synthetic stock and fore-end. The muzzle brake can be removed and replaced with a silencer. The stock is fully adjustable in every direction, and is also capable of adaptation to right or left handed firers. The TRG21 is the 7.62 mm NATO model and there is a TRG41 model which fires the .308 Lapua Magnu cartridge. Two magazines take either five or ten rounds.

The Type 53 Carbine was a Chinese manual bolt action carbine copied from the Soviet Model 1944 Carbine in 1953. The Type 53 Carbine was chambered for the 7.62 mm x 54R Soviet cartridge which it took from a 5-round internal magazine and fired with a muzzle velocity of 765 meters per second to an effective range of 400 meters. The Type 53 Carbine had a 520 mm long barrel and was fitted with a post foresight and tangent notch rearsight.

The Type 56 Assault Rifle is a Chinese copy of the later Soviet AK47 assault rifle. It is a gas-operated automatic assault rifle taking a 7.62 mm x 39 cartridge from a 30-round box. The Tyoe 56 Assault rifle has a muzzle velocity of 710 meters per second and an effective range of 300 meters and a cyclic rate of 600 rounds-per-minute. The Type 56 has a 414 mm long barrel and is fitted with a cylindrical post foresight and a tangent notch rearsight. The standard Type 56 Assault rifle has a fixed stock, a folding stock model was also produced as the Type 56-1 Assault rifle.

The Type 56 Carbine was chambered for the 7.62 mm x 39 cartridge which it took from a 10-round internal magazine and fired with a muzzle velocity of 735 meters per second to an effective range of 400 meters. The Type 64 Rifle is a Japanese gas operated, selective fire rifle chambered for the 7.62 x 51 mm NATO cartridge with reduced propellant and is fed by a 20-round box magazine. The Type 64 Rifle has a cyclic rate of 500 rounds-per-minute, a muzzle velocity of 700 meters per second and a claimed effective range of 400 meters. The Type 64 Rifle has a 450 mm long barrel and is fitted with a blade foresight and an aperture rearsight.

TYPE 68 RIFLE

The Type 68 Rifle is a Chinese gas operated selective fire rifle resembling the Type 56 Assault Rifle but with a longer 521 mm barrel. The Type 68 Rifle is chambered for the 7.62 mm x 39 cartridge which it takes from a 15-round box magazine and fires at a cyclic rate of 750 rounds per minute with a muzzle velocity of 730 meters per second to an effective range of 400 meters in single-shot mode and 200 meters in automatic fire. TYPE 89 RIFLE

The Howa Type 89 Rifle is a Japanese gas-operated assault rifle developed to replace the older Type 64 Rifle in the Japanese army. The Type 89 Rifle is chambered for the 5.56 mm x 45 cartridge fed from a 20 or 30-round box magazine. The rifle can be fired in semi-automatic single shots, three-round bursts or fully automatic with a cyclic rate of between 650 and 850 rounds-per-minute and a muzzle velocity of 920 meters-per-second.

The Arisaka Type 99 was a Japanese bolt operated rifle produced from 1940 to 1945. It developed from the 38th Year rifle, the idea being to produce a rifle chambered for the 7.7 mm cartridge. It takes a 7.7 mm round from a 5-round box magazine. It has a muzzle velocity of 715 meters-per-second and is sighted to 2400 meters, having an effective range of 500 meters. The Type 99 had a rate of fire of between eight and ten rounds per minute and was fitted with a blade foresight and an adjustable aperture leaf rearsight.
