The D-1 was a Soviet 152 mm howitzer developed in 1943 during the Second World War formed from the carriage of the 122 mm M1938 howitzer mounted with the modified gun of the 152 mm M1938 howitzer to produce a lighter weapon than the 152 mm M1938 howitzer. The D-1 fired a 40 kg high-explosive shell to a range of 12400 meters at a muzzle velocity of 508 meters-per-second.

The D-30 is a Russian all-round traverse howitzer developed during the 1960s. The D-30 has a calibre of 122 mm and fires a 21.76 kg high-explosive shell to a range of 15400 meters at a muzzle velocity of 690 meters-per-second.

The D-44 is a Soviet 85 mm calibre anti-tank and field gun fitted to the T-34/85 tank, the SU-85 and ASU-85 weapons, as well as being used an infantry support weapon. The D-44 was developed towards the end of the Second World War, has a muzzle velocity of 792 meters-per-second firing high-explosive rounds and 1030 meters-per-second firing high-velocity AP ammunition and can penetrate 130 mm of armour at 1000 meters.

The DEFA 554 is a French 30 mm calibre gas-operated cannon fitted to aircraft. The DEFA 554 is an improvement on the DEFA 552, with a higher rate of fire, selectable at 1200 or 1800 rounds per minute, and improved mechanical reliability. The DEFA 554 has an effective range of 1500 meters.

Diana is a Swiss, trailer-mounted, twin 25 mm cannon anti-aircraft gun. Early versions were fitted with Oerlikon KBA cannons, later models with the KBB cannon. Diana fires 600 rounds-per-minute from a dual belt feed with a muzzle velocity of between 1100 and 1375 meters per second.

The door knocker was the German nickname for their own 37 mm Pak 35 infantry anti-tank gun, so called after 1940 because of its ineffectiveness against allied armour.

The Douglas MGR-1B (Honest John) was an American single-stage surface-to-surface battlefield rocket with a range of between 7 and 37 km, introduced in 1960 to replace the earlier MGR-1 - which had a range of 19.3 km. The MGR-1B was launched from a 6x6 truck TEL vehicle and could carry a 2-, 20- or 40-kiloton W31 nuclear warhead, or 1500 lb high explosive warhead, or a chemical warhead.
