DEEP TRANSVERSE PERINEUS

The deep transverse perineus and the superficial transverse perineus are narrow muscles that support the pelvic viscera. These muscles originate from the surface of the ischial ramus and pass across the back of the perineal space to insert in the central portion of the perineum near the sphincter ani and accelerator urinae. They are innervated by perineal branches of the pudendal nerve.

TRANSVERSUS PERENEI

The transversus perenei is a thin, narrow muscle that lies across the back part of the perineal space. In the female, it originates from the tuberosity of the ischium and inserts in the perineum near the sphincter ani and sphincter vagina. In the male, the it originates from the tuberosity if the ischium and passes inward to insert in the perineum near the sphincter ani and accelerator urinae. The transversus perenei is innervated by the perineal branch of the internal pudic nerve and is supplied by the pudic artery.

ARGONNE NATIONAL LABORATORY

The Argonne National Laboratory is an American centre for research in nuclear and high-energy physics, located at Argonne, Illinois., near Chicago. It was founded in 1946 and is operated by the University of Chicago and Argonne Universities Association for the US Department of Energy. The staff of about 5000 conduct research into the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and related environmental problems. The first experimental boiling water reactor was constructed here in 1956. Current facilities include breeder reactors and an intense pulsed neutron source. Its proton accelerator, called the zero-gradient synchrotron, or ZGS, was shut down in 1970.

ACCELERATOR THEORY

In business, the accelerator theory is the theory that the level of investment is proportional to the output of an economy. Based on the observation that investment tends to fluctuate more than the rate of growth of the economy, the theory played a major role in early Keynesian models of the economy. However, it is not clear that there is a fixed capital-output ratio for an economy; investment decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as interest rates, business confidence, and profitability. The accelerator theory fails to provide an adequate account of these factors.
