Paul Newman is an American actor and film director. He was born in 1925 at Shaker Heights, Ohio. Paul Newman is best known as a leading man in films, though he suffered early on in his career being likened to Marlon Brando. In 1986 he was presented with a special Academy Award in recognition of his many and memorable screen performances, which surely must include the 1969 film 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid' and the 1973 film 'The Sting'.

BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a comedy western starring Paul Newman, Robert Redford, Katharine Ross, Strother Martin, Henry Jones, Jeff Corey and George Furth in a story based on the exploits of two friends with a knack for robbing banks who plan to rob the Union Pacific railroad, only the authorities have a trap set. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid was directed by George Roy Hill in 1969.
