Pamela Matthews is an English actress, record producer, dialogue director, and acting coach. She was born in 1922 at Caterham, Surrey. Her show business career started in 1945 when she was the assistant to the costume designer for the musical 'Dubarry is a Lady' at the St James' Theatre in London. In the same year she apeared in two British Ministry of Information films, one entitled 'Take care Of Your Feet' before in 1946 having her first speaking part in a film, 'Pink String And Sealing Wax' although her single spoken line was edited out before the film's release. The same year she was 'discovered' by Peter Ustinov while doing a stunt dive for the leading lady in the film 'This Man Is Mine' . In 1951 she joined the Rome Dubbing Society and worked dubbing Italian films into English. Perhaps her most notable jobs were dialogue director for the 1962 film 'Cleopatra' starring Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, dialogue director for 'Von Ryan's Express' and dialogue director as well as coaching the children for
