The Cirene was a Japanese-built Italian gunboat of 383 tons displacement launched in 1912 as the Hoyu Maru and acquired by the Italian government in 1917. The Cirene had a top speed of 9 knots and was armed with two 3-inch anti-aircraft guns and one machine-gun. Research Cirene
