The bushmaster (Lachesis mutus) is a Central American poisonous snake of the pit viper family found from Costa Rica and Trinidad to eastern Brazil in humid forest regions. It has dark rhombi on a dull reddish or yellowish background and grows to almost four metres long. The bushmaster is unique among the American pit vipers in laying eggs.

HONDURAN MILK SNAKE

The Honduran Milk Snake (Lampropeltis triangulum hondurensis) is an American species of Milk snake occurring in Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica and first described in 1978 and reaching about 108 cm in length. The Honduran Milk Snake often occurs in a brilliant orange colour with black and yellow bands, leading to its alternative name of the 'Tangerine Milk Snake'.

MONA LISA

The Mona Lisa is a new variety of banana that has a nice fruity flavour and is grown in Costa Rica. The skin is thicker and softer than the Cavendish's and even when the fruit looks bruised and has dark patches, the fruit inside is still firm and undamaged. Mona Lisa ripens differently than the popular Cavendish dessert banana. The fruit is sweetest when completely ripe - that is, yellow from tip to tip with no green showing.

Stuart's Milk Snake (Lampropeltis triangulum stuarti) is a species of Milk snake described in 1978 and distinguished by a white coloured 'V' marking on the black coloured snout. Stuart's Milk Snake occurs in the dry forests and coastal plains of El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and north-west Costa Rica.
