The Dae Chon is a South Korean Po Hang Class Corvette of 1180 tons displacement fully loaded. The Dae Chon carries a crew of ten officers and 85 men and is powered by one LM 2500 gas turbine and two SEMT-Pielstick 12 PA6-V280 diesel engines providing a top speed of 32 knots and a range of 6400 km at 15 knots. Armaments consist of one OTO Melara 76 mm/62 compact dual-purpose gun; six 324 mm Mk 32 torpedo tubes arranged as two triples taking the Honeywell Mk 46 anti-submarine torpedo; 12 depth charges.
