TOAST

Toast is bread dried and browned before a fire. When bread is exposed to heat the surface becomes caramelised, and the starch transformed into dextrin. Toast is therefore beneficial to people who are unable to eat much starchy food, especially if the bread is cut very thin and toasted slowly till it is hard throughout.
