Faith Healing is a system of belief founded upon a literal interpretation of passages in the bible (James, V 14, 15), according to which medical help in sickness (except perhaps in surgical cases) is unnecessary, the patient (if he have faith) being restored to health again by the prayers over him of Christian elders and the laying on of their hands.
