Disk filler is a DOS memory-resident and boot sector computer virus. The disk filler virus infects a hostcomputer when it is booted from an infected floppy disk. The disk filler virus then copies itself to the boot sector of the hard disk of the victim computer. If a computer with an infected hard disk sector is booted, the virus goes memory resident and attempts to write itself to the boot sector of all floppy disks introduced to the computer. If twenty-six minutes pass without floppy disk activity, the virus triggers its payload and overwrites the hard disk file allocation table and displays a message. Research Disk Filler
