Hugh McCulloch was an American banker. He was born in 1808 and died in 1895. He was cashier and manager of a bank at Fort Wayne, Indiana from 1835 to 1856, and president of the Indiana State Bank from 1856 to 1863. While Controller of the Currency from 1863 to 1865 he organized the bureau and inaugurated the American national banking system. He was Secretary of the Treasury in the Cabinets of Abraham Lincoln and Johnson from 1865 to 1869. He successfully accomplished the funding of the national debt. Shelley Long is an American actress. She was born in 1949, at Fort Wayne, Indiana. A bright, expressive, blonde leading lady of American TV and films. Following drama studies at Northwestern University, she got her start in the early 70s as the co-host of 'Sorting It Out,' a magazine show on a local Chicago TV station. She then flaunted her comic talent as a member of Chicago's famed Second City troupe. A pleasant presence in feature films since the early 80s, she had her greatest success on TV, as the brainy, sharp-tongued waitress, Diane, in the long-running series 'Cheers,' a role for which she won an Emmy.
