The GIAT AMX-40 is a French main battle tank designed in the early 1980s as an improved model in the AMX series, improvements being made in armour, mobility and firepower. The AMX-40 is manned by a crew of four and armed with a 120 mm main gun, a 20 mm cannon in the commander's cupola and a 7.62 mm machine-gun. Powered by a Poyaud 12-cylibnder diesel engine the AMX-40 has a top speed of 70 kmh and a range of 600 km.

The GIAT Apilas is the French equivalent of the British LAW 80, a disposable, one-man, shoulder-fired, anti-tank rocket. Apilas has a maximum range of 330 metres and can penetrate more than 720 mm of armour, or two metres of reinforced concrete.

The Engesa EE-T1 (Osorio) is a Brazilian main battle tank first produced in the mid-1980s. The EE-T1 is manned by a crew of four and can be fitted with either a British 105 mm main gun or a French GIAT 120 mm main gun, and is also armed with one 7.62 mm machine-gun. Powered by a 12-cylinder diesel engine the EE-T1 has a top speed of 70 kmh and a range of 550 km.

The Giat AMX-13 DCA is a French self-propelled anti-aircraft gun in service since 1968 and comprising two Hispano-Suiza HSS 831A 30 mm calibre cannon in an electro-hydraulically powered turret on a AMX-13 light tank chassis. The AMX-13 DCA has a top speed of 60 kmh and is manned by a crew of three comprising a driver, commander and a gunner.

The Giat FR-F1 was a French precision bolt action sniping rifle produced in 7.5 mm calibre from 1966 to 1980. The rifle was first designed as a target rifle and then modified for use as a sniping rifle and the action was based on the MAS36 service rifle. During the 1970s the calibre was changed to 7. 62 mm NATO. The rifle takes a ten round magazine and is fitted with a bipod.

The Giat FR-F2 is a French precision bolt action sniping rifle produced in 7. 62 mm NATO calibre from 1984. It is an improved version of the Giat FR-F1 with a thermal insulating sleeve over the barrel to prevent warping due to heat and reduce the infra-red signature, and the fire-end is of plastic- covered metal instead of wood. The bipod has also been strengthened.

The Giat M30/791 is a French 30 mm calibre single barrel revolver cannon fitted to aircraft as a replacement for the DEFA 550 series. The Giat M30/ 791 has a selectable rate of fire of 300/600, 1500 and 2500 rounds per minute and a muzzle velocity of 1025 metres per second.

The Giat M621 is a French 20 mm calibre, gas-operated delayed blowback single-barrel cannon produced since 1974. The Giat M621 was primarily designed for use on small ground vehicles and helicopters, and was developed between 1962 and 1973 based on the AME582. The Giat M621 has a selectable rate of fire of single-shot, 300 and 740 rounds per minute, and a muzzle velocity of between 990 and 1026 metres per second offering an effective range of 1500 metres.
