The H pot was a style of British clay chimney pot so named because of its resemblance to a capital letter H. The H pot comprised a ingle tip terminated with a cross member to each end of which was a vertical pot open at both ends. The design being intended to reduce the possibility of wind blowing the smoke back down the chimney into the habitation. Research H Pot
