ADELAIDE

HMAS Adelaide was an Australian Chatham Class light cruiser of 5400 tons displacement launched in 1918. HMAS Adelaide carried a complement of 390 and was powered by Yarrow boilers providing a top speed of 25 knots. Armaments consisted of eight 6-inch guns; three 4-inch anti-aircraft guns; four 3-pdr guns; twelve smaller guns and two 21-inch submerged broadside torpedo tubes. In 1938 she was completely refitted, with her funnels reduced from four to three and armaments modified.

ANZAC

HMAS Anzac is an Australian Anzac Class frigate with a displacement of 3600 tons fully loaded. She has a maximum speed of 27 knots and a cruising speed of 18 knots. Her range is 6000 nautical miles at 18 knots. The ship accommodates 163 personnel including 22 officers. The ship's armaments comprise a United Defense 127mm Mk 45 Mod-2 Naval gun, eight cell Mk 41 vertical launching system for Sea Sparrow surface-to-air missiles, Thomson Sintra Pacific Spherion B hull-mounted sonar, close-in-weapon systems and towed array sonar. Harpoon anti-ship missiles and a mine avoidance sonar are due to be added, along with two new CelsiusTech multi-function consoles. The ship's combat data system is built around the CelsiusTech 9LV 453 Mk-3 combat management system, with Link 11 and SHF Satcom. Weapons control is managed by the CelsiusTech 9LV 453 optronic director with Raytheon CW Mk-73 for surface-to-air missile control. Air search is by a Raytheon SPS-49(V)8 ANZ radar and air/surface search by a CelsiusTech 9LV 453TIR radar. The navigation radar is an STN Atlas Electronik 9600 ARPA. Two triple 324 mm Mk 32 torpedo tubes for Honeywell Mark-46 torpedoes are fitted.

HMAS Arunta was an Australian Tribal Class destroyer of 1870 tons displacement launched in 1940. HMAS Arunta carried a complement of 250. She was powered by three Admiralty 3-drum type boilers providing a top speed of 36.5 knots and was armed with eight 4 inch dual-purpose guns; ten smaller guns and four 21-inch torpedo tubes.

HMAS Australia was an Australian cruiser of 10000 tons displacement launched in 1927 and reconstructed in 1938. HMAS Australia was powered by eight Admiralty 3-drum type oil boilers providing a top speed of 31.5 knots and a range of 3680 km at top speed or 16640 km at a cruising speed of 14 knots. HMAS Australia carried a complement of 679 normally and 710 when operating as a flagship. She was armed with eight 8-inch guns; eight 4-inch anti-aircraft guns; four 3-pdr guns; four 2-pdr pompoms; eight Lewis machine-guns; four other machine-guns and eight 21-inch torpedo tubes arranged in two quadruple mountings. HMAS Australia was sunk in the Pacific Ocean in September 1944 during the Second World War.
