TOWNELEY PLAYS

The Towneley Plays or Towneley Mysteries are a collection of thirty-two early dramatic pieces, probably written around the end of the 14th century. They were preserved in the library of Towneley Hall in Lancashire. The plays depict the bible stories from the creation through to the Doomsday ina familiar and sometimes light-hearted or even humourous fashion. They were sold at Sotheby's in 1922 to an American for 3500 pounds.

TEGENARIA

Tegenaria is a genus of largish spiders found in Britain of the family Agelenidae. They are typically about 12 to 15 mm long, with long legs and a brown and black, patterned body. They spend most of their time waiting on their web, rushing into their retreat when danger threatens. However, during the late summer and early autumn they may be seen running across the carpet ina house, or trapped in the bath when they have been seeking a mate. The males live with their mate for several weeks befiore dying of old age, and then their body being eaten by the female. The female remains with her eggs until they hatch and the spiderlings emerge and disperse.

The Canadair CF-5 was a Canadian improved version of the Northrop F-5 fighter aircraft. The Canadair CF-5 was powered by two General Electric/Orenda J85-15 turbojet engines and had improved performance, navigation and communications equipment than the original F-5 allowing the Canadair CF-5 to operate in a reconnaissance role as well as a fighter. Usually a single-seater aircraft, the CF-5 was also produced ina two-seater vatriant designated the CF-5D.

Ninotchka is a comedy starring Greta Garbo, Melvyn Douglas, Ina Claire and Bela Lugosi in a story about a stern Communist envoy whose outlook changes when she is sent on assignment to Paris. Ninotchka was directed by Ernst Lubitsch in 1939.

The Incredible Hulk is a fantasy adventure starring Bill Bixby, Susan Sullivan, Jack Colvin and Lou Ferrigno ina story about a man who accidentally gains superhuman strength which in times of stress transforms him into the Hulk. The Incredible Hulk was directed by Kenneth Johnson in 1977.

THE MUSIC MAN

The Music Man is a musical comedy starring Robert Preston, Shirley Jones, Buddy Hackett, Hermione Gingold and Paul Ford ina story about a confidence trickster who persuades some townfolks in Iowa to form a band, offering to provide the instruments himself, and planning to disappear with the money before the instruments arrive, only for his plans to hit a snag. The Music Man was directed by Morton DaCosta in 1962.
