J. EDWARD BROMBERG

Picture of J. Edward Bromberg

J. Edward Bromberg was an American actor. He was born in 1903 and died in 1951. His early death is attributed by many to his being blacklisted during the 1947 - 1961 anti-left paranoia that swept the USA, preventing Hollywood from hiring left-wing sympathisers. He appeared in a number of films from 1937 to 1946 including the 1940 'The Mark of Zorro' and the 1948 comedy 'A Song is Born'.
