Jack fruit is an Indian tree (Artocarpus integrifolia) is a tree of the family Artocarpaceae, of the same genus as the bread-fruit. The fruit of the Jack-fruit tree is much larger than that of the bread-fruit, more ovular in shape, and is eaten raw when ripe.
