The Larson D-1 is a strut-braced biplane of all-metal construction powered by a Lycoming R-680 nine-cylinder air-cooled radial engine or a Continental R-670 seven-cylinder air-cooled radial engine or a Jacobs R-755 seven-cylinder air-cooled radial engine providing a cruising speed of 145 kmh.
