9M119 REFLEKS

The 9M119 Refleks (AT-11 Sniper) is a Soviet anti-tank guided missile system. The range of the missile is 100 - 4,000 metres and takes 11.7 seconds to reach maximum range. The system is intended to engage tanks fitted with explosive reactive armour as well as low-flying airborne targets such as helicopters, at a range of up to 5 km. The missile system fires either the 9M119 or 9M119M missiles which have semi-automatic laser beam riding guidance and a hollow charge warhead.

ADATS

The Oerlikon ADATS is a Swiss-Canadian dual surface-to-air and surface-to-surface anti-aircraft and anti-tank missile system developed between 1979 and 1985 and adopted by the Canadian army in 1986. ADATS consists of a quadruple missile launcher mounted on a modified M113 APC. The missiles are laser guided and have a range of 10 km and armed with a 12 kg high-explosive fragmentation warhead.

The AGM-114A is an anti-tank missile carried by American helicopters. It has a flight speed of 170 m/ s and a maximum range of 7000 metres. It is unusual in being a laser guided missile. Also called the hellfire missile.

BUSSARD

Bussard is a German 120 mm calibre anti-tank guided mortar projectile developed during the 1970s at the request of the German Defence Ministry. Bussard weighs 17 kg and is laser, radar, or infra-red guided depending upon the fitted seeker head, and has a maximum range of 5000 metres.

CIS SAR-21

The CIS SAR-21 is a Singapore gas-operated assault rifle introduced in 1999. The CIS SAR-21 is chambered for the 5.56 mm cartridge which it takes from a 30-round translucent plastic box magazine, has a cyclic rate of 650 rounds per minute and a 20-inch barrel. The CIS SAR-21 is fitted with a battery-powered laser-aiming device mounted in the front plate of the body, beneath the barrel.

GBU-28

The GBU-28 is an American laser-guided penetrator, blast/fragmentation bomb (bunker buster) designed in 1991 for the specific task of penetrating buried Iraqi command bunkers during the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait. The GBU-28 is 19 feet 2 inches long and carries a 4400 lb penetrating warhead comprising 630 pounds of high explosive and 3770 lbs of probably nuclear or radioactive additional materials within the main body of the bomb, this main body being a former 8-inch calibre artillery gun tube. The GBU-28 has a range in excess of 5 nautical miles. They are carried by F-15E and F-111F aircraft. The GBU-28 can penetrate 20 feet of concrete or 100 feet of earth, after which the explosive detonates to destroy the underground bunker.

GDF-CO3

The GDF-CO3 is a Swiss four-wheeled, highly mobile, self-propelled anti-aircraft gun produced by Oerlikon-Buhrle. The GDF-CO3 is manned by a crew of three protected by 8 mm thick armour and is armed with twin 35 mm KDF cannon fitted with a day/night fire-control system and a laser rangefinder and Contraves search radar. The GDF-CO3 has a top speed of 45 kmh and a range of 480 km.

The Heckler and Koch Mk 23 (SOCOM Pistol) is a German semi-automatic pistol introduced in 1996 in response to a US Special Forces Command (SOCOM) requirement for an offensive handgun with a laser aiming module (LAM) and a silencer. The Heckler and Koch Mk 23 is a variation on the Heckler and Koch USP and is produced in .45 ACP calibre, takes a 12-round box magazine and has a 150 mm barrel with a screw adaptor for fitting a silencer.

IMATRONIC LS45

The Imatronic LS45 is a British eye-safe laser projector for firearms which projects an intense red spot of light on to the target, the spot being 24 cm in diameter at a range of 100 metres and the beam can operate over a range of 500 metres.
