BOCAINA

The Bocaina was an American-built Brazilian destroyer of 1240 tons displacement launched in 1943 as the USS Marts and transferred to Brazil in 1944. The Bocaina was powered by diesel-electric engines providing a top speed of 20 knots and was armed with three 3 inch dual-purpose guns; two 40 mm anti-aircraft guns; four 20 mm anti-aircraft guns; three 21 inch torpedo tubes and depth charge throwers.
