2A20

The 2A20 is a Russian 115 mm smooth-bore gun mounted on older T-62 Main Battle Tank (MBT). It has a muzzle velocity of 1615 metres-per-second and armour piercing capabilities of 326 mm at 500 metres and 302 mm at 1000 metres firing APFSDS ammunition.

CENTURION TANK

The Centurion Tank was a British tank developed in 1943 which continued in production until 1962. It was originally armed with a 17-pounder main gun, then with a 20-pounder gun and finally with the 105 mm L7A2 gun. It carried a crew of 4, and was protected by armour plate 152 mm thick on the turret front, 76 to 118 mm thick on the hull front depending upon the model and 38 mm to 51 mm thick on the sides and rear. The Centurion Tank had a top speed of 22 mph and a range of 190 km. In the 1960's the Centurion Tank was replaced by the Chieftan Tank as Britain's Main Battle Tank (MBT).

HYUNDAI TYPE 88 MBT

The Hyundai Type 88 MBT is a South Korean main battle tank. The Type 88 is manned by a crew of four and is armed with a 105 mm main gun, one 7.62 mm coaxial machine-gun, one 7.62 mm anti-aircraft machine-gun and one 12.7 mm anti-aircraft machine-gun, and two 6 chamber smoke grenade dischargers. An MTU 871 Ka-501 diesel engine rated at 1,200 hp provides a maximum road speed of 40 mph and a maximum road range of 500 km.

LEOPARD 2

The Leopard 2 is a German Main Battle Tank (MBT) designed in the late 1970s as a sequel to the failed MBT70 project. It has a top road speed of 65 kph, carries a crew of four, and is armed with a 120 mm smooth-bore main gun. 42 rounds of APFSDS and HEAT ammunition are carried and the Leopard 2 weighs 55 tonnes.

LEOPARD AS1

The Leopard AS1 is an Main Battle Tank (MBT) used by the Australian army. It is powered by a 37.4 litre V-10 four stroke multi-fuel engine with mechanical superchargers producing 830 bhp at 2200 rounds-per-minute and 2860 Nm torque at 1500 rounds-per-minute. The engine is attached to a 4 speed planetary type power shift and steering transmission with hydraulic torque converter providing four forward and two reverse speeds. The Leopard AS1 Main Battle Tank (MBT) is fitted with a welded turret containing a 105 mm rifled gun capable of firing Armour Piercing Discarding SABOT, High Explosive Squash Head, High Explosive Plastic, White Phosphorus Smoke, Anti-Personnel, Canister, Discarding SABOT-Practice and Squash Head-Practice Ammunition. A coaxially mounted 7.62 mm machine-gun and a 7.62 mm anti-aircraft machine-gun are also mounted. Two sets of four 76 mm multi-barrel smoke grenade dischargers are mounted externally.

The M-1 Abrams MBT, is an American main battle tank. It is manned by a crew of four, weighs 54.5 tonnes, and a top road speed of 45 mph. It is armed with a 105 mm smooth bore main gun with an effective range of 2500 metres. It can carry 55 rounds of ammunition, including HEAT and SABOT shells.

It is equipped with a laser rangefinder and thermal imaging night sights. 40 shells are carried for the main gun. It has a top road speed of 67 kph.
