Maureen O'Hara (real name Maureen Fitzsimons) is an Irish actress. She was born in 1920 near Dublin. She always wanted to be an actress, and by the age of fourteen was winning drama awards. She made her stage debut in Dublin before moving to the London stage in 1938, and making her film debut in the 1938 'My Irish Molly' and got her first true film fame in Hitchcock's 1939 film 'Jamaica Inn' along side Charles Laughton who took her back to Hollywood to appear in his 1939 film 'The Hunchback of Notre Dame'.
