Mehemed Fuad Pasha was a Turkishstatesman and man of letters. He was born in 1814at Constantinople (Istambul) and died in 1869. His diplomatic career took him to London, Madrid, and St. Petersburg; he was four times minister of foreign affairs, and for five years grand vizier; and was the chief support of the reform party in the Turkishempire.
