The palatopharyngeus muscle (pharyngopalatinus) originates from the soft palate and inserts into the posterior border of the thyroidcartilage. This muscle depresses the soft palate and raises the pharynx and larynx. It is innervated by the pharyngeal plexus. Research Palatopharyngeus Muscle
