Parasomnias are activities such as walking, talking, and urinating which are associated with being awake but which occur during sleep. The most common parasomnia is sleepwalking which occurs more commonly in children than adults. In children, parasomnias are rarely treated, but in adults they are often treated with benzodiazepines or anticonvulsants. Research Parasomnias
