The SA-7 (Grail) is a light-weight Soviet man-portable, shoulder-launched infantry surface-to-air missile. The SA-7 was first seen in use in Egypt during the Six Day War where it proved fairly ineffective. It was later observed in action in Vietnam where it met with more success. The SA-7 is a 9.2 kg missile powered by a solid fuel, three-stage rocket motor and guided by a passive infra-red guidance system. The original SA-7 had a maximum range of 3.5 km, a later model had a range of 10 km and a flight speed of mach 1. Research SA-7
