The SIAT 223 Flamingo is a German basic flying trainer aircraft with liaison capabilities first flown as a prototype in 1967 and entering military service in the early 1970's. The SIAT 223A1 is a low-wing cantilever monoplane powered by a Textron Lycoming IO-360-C1B flat-four piston engine providing a top speed of 245 kmh and a range of 880 km.
