RAHMAT

The Rahmat (formerly the Hang Jebat) is a Malaysian Yarrow type frigate of 1250 tons displacement launched in 1967. The Rahmat carries a crew of 140 and is powered by one Bristol Siddeley Olympus TM1B gas turbine and one Crossley Pielstick SPC 2V diesel engine providing a top speed of 26 knots running on gas and 16 knots on diesel and a range of 6000 miles at 16 knots. Armaments consist of one Vickers 4.5 inch/45 Mk 5 hand-loaded dual-purpose gun; three Bofors 40 mm/70 dual-purpose guns and one Limbo Mk 10 3-tubed anti-ship mortar.
