The sansa is an African plucked idiophone consisting of a number of metal or reed tongues attached by one end only side-by-side to the side of wooden board which serves as a resonator box.. The sound is produced by plucking the free ends of the tongues, and the pitch varied by sliding the tongue backwards and forwards under its fixing bracket. Research Sansa
